MC-400 and MC-385V1V Pick and Place Machines

Built upon the same architecture as Manncorp’s popular MC series of pick and place machines, the new MC-400 is specially designed for startups, product development labs, and contract manufactures that need to build prototypes or short runs in-house, with high-precision and quick turn-around times. The MC-400 can also be viewed as a long-term investment in pick and place capability for when volumes increase, as feeders, software, and accessories are fully compatible with the other members of the MC family.

    Speed, Accuracy and Precision

  • Full-vision alignment system Cognex on-the-fly and bottom vision camera.
  • Closed-loop servo motion control with linear encoders for smooth, high-speed movement and high accuracy and repeatability
  • Weighs 364 lbs (without stand)-built for maximum stability and repeatability, with welded steel frame construction

  • Places 0201 through 100×150 mm components, including MBGAs, micro lead frames (MLFs), CSPs, uBGAs, BGAs and QFPs with lead pitch down to 15 mil
  • All ball inspection and missing ball detection, with nonstandard ball patterns programmable and inspectable
  • 15-position automatic tool holder/changer
  • Handles single and double-side boards of 415 mm x320 mm (16.3″ x12.5″)
    Feeder Capacity and Flexibility

  • Up to 64 feeder slots allow commonly used components to be kept resident on the machine
  • Feeders racks can accommodate a mix of tape feeders and IC tube/stick feeders
  • Smart plug-and-play tape and stick feeders link to feeder position, component and indexing data in the system software to reduce job setup and changeover times. Ultra-smooth, electronic tape feeders index parts to the same place every time-set it up once and never have to do it again.
  • Cut-tape strip holders eliminate need to purchase entire reels of components for smaller jobs. (Hold up to 40 individual cut tape strips)
  • Waffle trays and cut strip feeder holders can be used in placement area.

  • UCAD universal CAD import and conversion for direct transfer of PCB data from ASCII, AutoCAD and Excel data formats
